Blind River, Ontario, Canada
After a number of uranium mine closures in nearby Elliot Lake in the early 90s, economic adjustment funds provided by the provincial government helped create the Elliot Lake and Area Energy Efficiency Program.  Funds from this program were used to install an AOC 15/50 wind turbine.  In the spring of 1998, construction of the wind turbine was completed. Since it began operating, the turbine has provided about half of the power needs of the town's marina.

Carmicheal Estates, Scotland
Here are some photos of the AOC 15/50 that was installed at the Carmichael Estate in Scotland in July 1998.  The wind turbine is offsetting power costs at the Carmichael Visitor Centre.

Cassop Primary School, England
The Cassop primary school wind turbine offsets power costs and serves as an educational tool. The school has won the coveted Kuoni Award for their environmental teaching & awareness. The wind turbine was officially opened by British Prime Minister - Tony Blair - whose parliamentary constituency is next door to Cassop.

Eskasoni First Nations, Nova Scotia, Canada
Installed in the summer of 2004, the Eskasoni wind turbine offsets power costs at the band council office.  It is the first net-metered wind turbine installation of its size in Nova Scotia.

Island of Luing, Scotland
The remote location of these two turbines on the western Scottish Isle of Luing made installation challenging but worth the effort.  The turbines have produced over 500,000kwh’s of electricity since their installation.  Turbine one was installed in 2002 and the second was added in 2004.

Kilrea, Northern Ireland
This turbine is offsetting the high power costs from running an engineering machining facility.  Installed in 2003.

Kotzebue, Alaska, US
The largest AOC 15/50 wind farm in the world, Kotzebue has 10 wind turbines offsetting the cost of expensive diesel fuel.

New York, NY, US

Oreland, Maine - Blueberry Farm
The Orland, Maine Turbine was installed by Endless Energy in December of 2000. Currently, it is the largest operating turbine in Maine and the only turbine in the state that sells green tags.

Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, Canada
Installed in 2000, this turbine produces power to offset high diesel fuel costs for electricity generation in Rankin Inlet.

Sachs Harbour, Northwest Territories, Canada
Installed in 1999

Sagar Island, India
These are the first two of ten wind turbines installed on Sagar Island off the west coast of India.  A remote location, installation was challenging as no heavy machinery was available.  The wind turbines will work as part of a high penetration no storage wind/diesel hybrid system which will allow more villages on the island to have access to electricity and improve the quality of life of the villagers.
